In 2013 I was part of MOAM collective
MOAM collective. A collective in which eight design alumni combine their vision within one collection with the help of the establishment of the Dutch fashion industry. In September the results will be presented: The first co-creation collection of a new generation of designers in cooperation with the established order.MOAM was founded to transfer the fantastic and unique knowledge from the Dutch fashion industry to the new generation. By developing a coaching project on the level of collection design, young designers receive practical tools from the top of the industry, which will be useful for the rest of their career. MOAM acts as a platform and incubator in which talent is shaped and developed.MOAM found 25 Dutch connoisseurs willing to share their knowledge and specific expertise with the new generation. A unique combination of leading designers, journalists, retailers, stylists, couturiers, editors and other fashion talents will coach the collective during the entire project. From concept development to the presentation of it. Each and everyone from their own perspective or specialism.Delegation and broadening of knowledge is applied by transferring the expertise and knowledge from the coaches to the new generation. The collective consists of designers selected on talent, knowledge and connecting specialism. The designers will be assisted and coached on a weekly base by HTNK-managing director Mariette Hoitink, creative director Frans Ankoné and Martijn Nekoui.
